Song for September 18th

Hey boys and girls! It's time for our annual Handel's Messiah sing-along!

Just follow the (imaginary) bouncing blackboard eraser!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Hal-lay-ay-lew-who-ya!

Let us Rejoice, for Today is the First Day of School in our elementary school district.

Finally.

Amen.

HOO HA! Congrats - can you drink all day and come out of your drunken stupor in time to pick up the kids?

Hell, I don't even have to pick them up - the bus drops them conveniently at our doorstep (sometimes suburbia isn't all that bad...)

So, no need to ever come out of the drunken stupor!

The 18th? That's late.

In PA it's Labor Day. Heck, in Massachusetts I think it's the end of August.

The late start is unusual -- some schools in the district had construction projects working during the summer, so they made all the schools in district start late so they'd all be on the same schedule.

Same thing in 2007. Aaaaargh!
